May 1, 2023 — In the most recent graduate school rankings from U.S. News & World Report, Wichita State University’s College of Engineering continued its steady ascent, landing in the 47th spot for the 2023-24 academic year. Additionally, the College of Health Profession’s physician associate program is debuting in the rankings at No. 65.
April 21, 2023 — Corri Newman is senior communications sciences and disorders major in the College of Health Professions and a member of the WSU Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (WSUSSLHA) and serves as its NSSLHA chair. After she graduates, she plans to attend graduate school to become a speech-language pathologist.
April 14, 2023 — Wichita State University’s Environmental Finance Center is one of 17 locations selected to establish an Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center. This new center will promote environmental and energy justice in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and adjoining Indigenous nations.
March 22, 2023 – Wichita State University nursing students on the WSU main campus and Kansas State University campus celebrated their Nightingale Nursing Commitment Ceremonies on March 3. Nov. 30, 2022 — Delane Vaughn loved science and her biology teacher at Mulvane High School – Joe Johnson – started her on a path to Wichita State University as the first person in her family to attend college. She worked, raised a family and attended WSU and the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
Nov. 7, 2022 — In recognition of its strong commitment to economic engagement, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) has designated Wichita State University as an Innovation & Economic Prosperity (IEP) University.
